其實香薰中用已是舊談，但我覺得若用中藥的醫理來處理病源的話，力有不及且比不上西洋的原理有效。 這並不是說中藥原理是錯的，而是現行的做法有商確的餘地。
現行的做法是 ── 用薑油的話便以薑的中藥醫理作處理，有時會好見效的，因為中西有overlapping啦嘛； 失效時便加針灸以輔之，再不行又再加其他的飲食來助之。 若是這樣大混雜的話，香薰便不能一枝獨秀而只能「倚附權貴」。
問題在於精油是提煉過的油黎的，而其滲透力之強，集中力之大非原狀態之物可並及的。 還有一點是，經提煉過的精油的化學成份，已不是原物所有的了。
但香薰中用並不是沒有用處的，相反用得得宜的話比單是西用更為見效。 現在流行中西並行，何不來個香薰中西并合呢？
我看過我老師的處方，她雖以西學為主，但卻有中藥原理在內，只是她並不為意。 在調配方面，我老師都算是當今高手。 很多人的香薰調配，只是湊合成篇的； 是否高手，很易看出的。
我記得有位法國香薰大師曾說過，在香薰的世界裹，miracles always happen。 看，若沒有miracle出現，那就不是香薰的原意。 或者是我的心頭高，但我有我對事物的要求。
在處理香薰中用的問題上，要顧及香薰所擁有的特性，這才是關鍵 ── 精油與草藥是有差別的！
