曾看過某香療大師寫道，有些人用香薰的方法對他來說只是”recreational fragrancing” – 意即上不了大枱的玩票性質。 若以正事及閒事來分，不若說香療是一種貴格的生活追求。
有用香薰的人都知道，精油價格並不便宜，尤其是對品質及療效有所追求的；若沒有節制的話，可以不覺意便欠債累累，雖未至於傾家盪產。 工作後需要娛樂，如樂能帶來的效益是不可計量的，娛樂有平有貴，香療這玩意可謂「貴格」了。
有讀香療歷史的知道，香料曾比作黃金，用來作交易用的；可見得自古至今這玩兒已是「貴格」。 娛樂帶來一定的治效，亦有益身心，這是否叫做可以上得大枱？是正事呢？
凡事都有多面睇的，在大師來看是閒事，在我這無名小卒來看可以是正事；所謂 “A coin has two sides”. 若有一對夫婦想增房事之樂，看香療師及用其配方為正事；但說不定所謂的閒事式運用已收效 ── 前者有壓力，後者為care free； 說不定效果更好。
