其實基底油也算是香薰的應用範圍之一，而椰子油便是其中的一種。 椰子油的用途多，眾所周知的，這裏也不多談。 我只是想講，到底那種才好用呢？
有些天然派，一定要用raw organic的，其實這未必是最有療效的。 我有個朋友的女兒，手部皮膚有龜裂情況出現，她用了就沒有收效。 後來我用了一隻墨西哥純椰子油＋可可巴油＋beeswax做成膏，塗了一次便好了，可見產地都很重要的。 而塗在面上及身體的，我發覺expeller pressed coconut oil 比較好用，帶有清淡的甜香。 我有時都用非州的椰子油的，它的香味頗誘人，頗適合房事用。至於亞洲出品，我只用作做oil pulling，但我都是偏向expeller pressed coconut oil，尤其我家附近的健康食品店出品的。 還有一種是fractionated coconut oil, 這種油是沒有味道而且不會凝結的，但我嫌略乾，若你喜歡比較乾爽又不是純天然派的話，你或者會喜歡的。
我有個同學的外婆，到了80歲還是保養得宜，便是因為她是椰子油的FAN 之故。
至於用作食用油，我只在煎蛋時才用原油，煮其他菜的話便用椰子油＋其他油一齊煮的，這樣的話便不會有椰子油的味道。
想在生活上做明星嗎？ 不用到荷理活拍戲亦可以做得到。 椰子油，魅力沒法擋。
